S.P. McLean Engineering has heavily invested in the latest syncropulse technology water cooled welding process, coupled with programmable ESAB Hydraulic positioners for unsurpassed weld quality and finish.

Shells and rings are rolled in-house in our new CNC controlled 4 roll plate rollers and custom designed flanges can also be machined and drilled up to 1400 diameter in-house.

Health & Safety 18001 PMS3282 SP McLean gained their ISO 9001 accreditation in 2007 through SAI Global. We are also an ASSDA (Australian Stainless Steel Development Association) Accredited Fabricator.
As part of SP McLean’s continuing commitment to meeting our customer’s requirements we have a robust quality system in place which is stringently adhered to and maintained by our Quality Assurance Manager.
Full traceability and a high level of inspection on all projects are standard at SP McLean. This includes Inspection and Test Plans providing dual sign off of all major assembly points by the workshop supervisor and QA Manager. SP McLean has the capability of hydrostatically pressure testing all vessels, in-house with calibrated pressure gauges. Quality Checklists are used during manufacturing to ensure fabication meets the required standard.
